  A uni with fancy exterior but a total train-wreck rotting from within, at least from a business/ engineering student's perspective. Almost all the tutors are part time, they can cancel the class by having excuse like needing to attend their graduation. The thing I am most upset about is not that if they are part time or not, but the fact that all of them have very little tutoring training. Imagine if you have something you don't understand and ask the tutors, all the tutors give you a different answer. And when you complain about the uselessness of the tutors the response you get is always "You should be responsible for your own study, you need to study on your own." Gosh do you know that I pay $5250 for each unit of study and this is the kind of teaching quality I get. Also, for some of the units of study we are meant to be doing the assignment questions during the tutorial but when I have some problems and ask the tutors they say they can't help me with my assignment directly. Excuse me but if that's the case then why bother to have tutorial at all?
  
  Furthermore, I don't understand just why for every semester there is a Chinese lecturer who can't speak English properly and having trouble to convey the message in lecture. I am not being racist and I respect their academic credentials and achievements, but come on, can the university just provide them some proper English speaking training? The Chinese lecturers' lecture are the worst for every single semester and yet year after year it still remained the same.
  
  Funny thing is the people running the uni just don't seem to quite figure out why the world ranking of the uni has dropped for the last few years. I'll tell you what you need to do now. Stop putting so much money on promoting and attracting future students and building all sorts of new building in the campus. START INVESTING MORE ON THE TEACHING STAFF. Having better teaching staff and producing better students is what best for the uni. Isn't this is the goal the uni should be striving for? The man with his Kia parked at the vice-chancellor spot beside the Quad building, isn't this is obvious to you?
  
  Sadly the current administration is using the uni as a cash cow by accepting sub-par rich students who are non-literate in English. They are glad that those students fail so that they can milk more money out of them by having them to repeat the units. This is just the worst thing an "accredited" uni can do. The fact is that this is not just terrible for those sub-par rich students, but other students who genuinely want to do well are affected by them when by the grace of God having to do group assignments/ reports with them.
  
  I can't think of a better place to post this and I wholeheartedly hope someone in the administration will read this and do something about the teaching quality of the uni, especially the faculty of engineering. If any of you think that I am just a disagreeable outlier of the uni that always have nothing good to say about anything, please just go around the campus and ask any of the current students whether they are satisfied with the teaching staff or not. Period.
